CDSC offers up to 8 hours of free mediation between biological/adoptive parents and/or legal guardians related to parenting time of children under 18 (or older children with special needs) under the Parenting Mediation Program (PMP), as funded by MA Department of Revenue Child Support Enforcement Division (DOR).
Discussions around the following topics will be free of charge (up to 8 hours):
- Legal custody issues
- Access/visition issues
- Creating or modifying plans for parenting schedules and visitation arrangements
- Decision-making responsibilities for housing arrangements, education, healthcare, and extracurricular activities (if it impacts parenting time)
- Child support modifications (in relation to parenting time)
- Relocation and co-parenting logistics
- Communication issues about any of the above issues
- Conflict resolution strategies to improve long-term cooperation
Court-Connected Mediation Services
CDSC is approved to provide mediation services for cases filed in the Middlesex, Suffolk and Norfolk Probate and Family Court.
