CDSC hires several trainers and role play coaches to assist with the Basic Mediation Training, under the direction of the Lead Trainer. The Executive Director of CDSC acts as the Lead Trainer and is responsible for the creation and implementation of the Basic Mediation Training curriculum. Our curriculum meets the guidelines of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court.

Role Play Coach

A CDSC Role Play coach provides support and feedback to training participants during the BMT role plays. CDSC Role Play Coaches:
● Present the role play to a subset of training participants
● Assign roles and ensure understanding of the scenario
● Provide feedback to participants
● Elicit feedback from the participants

A successful CDSC Role Play Coach will:
● Have a clear understanding of how to provide clear, concise and direct feedback to participants, in a respectful and encouraging manner
● Understand the style of mediation CDSC employs
● Are articulate and adaptable
